Location: Decatur, Alabama

Position Profile

We are seeking an Application Engineer for our Decatur, Alabama office. A successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and applying in-depth knowledge of:

Industrial Ventilation
• Air Pollution Control
• Pumping Systems
• Pneumatic Conveying
• Chemical Feed & Metering

The Application Engineer supports Outside Sales and is a technical resource for customers. The primary responsibilities are:

• Equipment Selections & Pricing
• System Design
• Developing Equipment Quotations & Technical Proposals
• Customer Service
• Project Management

Other duties may include occasional direct interaction with customers such as troubleshooting, presentations, and problem solving. 

 

Position Requirements

Education- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering. Other disciplines will be considered, however Fluid Engineering’s products and applications are most closely related to these engineering disciplines. 

Skills- The candidate must be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic, and an interest in helping customers with their applications.   Strong computer skills (preferably Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ACAD) are essential. Excellent communication skills, professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.
